Wild winds blowing us over as we tried to ride up- all worth it when greeted by the school and kids a fantastic but tough day 1. We spent 5  hours in the saddle  with the winds keeping our average speeds to 27 km per hour. many seasoned riders who have done the ride over the years actually said it was one of the toughest if not the toughest days on the bike they have had. I was glad to hear that because I thought, how can I be so spent at 80km.? But a timely break helps out so much, we have an awesome support crew who time our stops perfectly giving us food and massages and time to rehydrate.

TOday was a perfect example of mates looking after each other and helping out, swapping positions on the peleton to take some of the wind to help others, such great support we hope to show the kids is so important in helping each other and their friends , making sure they are Ok.

We were off again. It was spectacular riding toward the Stirling Ranges, I was surprised at the number of road trains that passed us sometimes you have to brace for the wind they take with them and others it was a short break form the cross wind. IM still in awe of how the traffic is managed by our crew.

the welcoming given to us by the whole school as we rode up to Gnowangerup Distict High was fantastic lots of squeals of delight and cheering. Wepresented to the school and had lunch and she red stories with the student section then road on to about accomodation for out massages and the group dinner and debrief

Bed early for a 7.30 am start to ride to Kojanup and then onto Katanning where we visit both schools

IM having trouble loading some pics but when internet is better I'll add here to the page, see below for the days ride.
